PATRIOTS DISMISS JLP ACCUSATIONS AS HYPOCRISY AND PROPAGANDA

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, September 27, 2017: The PNP Patriots is dismissing JLP accusations of intimidation in St Mary South Eastern as barefaced hypocrisy and propaganda.  The People’s National Party young professional caucus says it is not aware of the destruction of any campaign material belonging to the JLP’s candidate, Norman Dunn.  On the contrary, the PNP affiliated group says that they have seen video footage of Dr. Shane Alexis’ campaign poster being destroyed in open view.

This video footage which is being circulated on social media confirms that persons associated with the JLP’s candidate have been destroying the campaign material for Shane Alexis between Castleton and Broadgate, and have been doing other things to heighten political tension.

The Patriots’ President, Omar Newell is challenging the JLP’s Dr. Norman Dunn to be sincere in his call for fair-play, by demanding that his supporters desist from their present political activity and cease from destroying the campaign material of Shane Alexis. The Patriots are also hoping that Dunn lends his support in the lowering of political tension ahead of the announcement of the by-election.

Patriots President Newell spoke frankly, saying that “the JLP’s candidate has woken up to the reality that attempts by his party to spend its way to victory in St Mary SE are futile, since the polls are telling him that this election is far from being a Dunn deal.”
